Onside Kick to Bourbon Street
Feb 7th, 2010 | By Jake Doerr | Category: NFLDrew Brees was fantastic and Sean Payton called an excellent game which included some gutsy calls. I wish people would stop saying that the Saints stunned the Colts. The Saints if they were an underdog were fantastic all year. The 31-17 final score wasn’t the high scoring game I thought it would be but I did get my real dream and that was a game that was great through out. Also you have to love the fact that the man that has won so many games for the Colts, actually lost the biggest game of the year. Manning threw a terrible pass right to Tracy Porter, it might have been on Reggie Wayne who is an overrated Wide Out who got lucky with his quarterback, who ran it back for six. Porter is the same player who picked off Favre in the 4th quarter in the Vikings game, talk about a great resume. The best part about the whole game, other than the Saints winning, is the fact that Manning had a chance at being considered elite and failed. I love seeing sad Manning. Stover missed a Field Goal but Manning did have a chance at the win and lost it.
The play of the game though was the onside kick right after halftime. That was a brilliant call and a wonderful kick. The Saints deserved the game because they won it through their play. There was no controversy in the game and it turned out to be a great Super Bowl.
