CBS-Turner will outbid ESPN for the NCAA Tournament

CBS and Turner sports have created a two headed monster to take on ESPN and they will succeed. The Division 1 board of Directors meets in Indianapolis at the end of the month and they will discuss the future broadcasters and whether to expand the tournament.  CBS and Turner have a slightly larger bid then ESPN. As a viewer of the tournament I wouldn’t mind either, I will like being able to see more games then just the one in my market because of the addition of cable channels like ESPN or TNT .

Turner is become a real player in the sports world, they already have the NBA and MLB and if they add this they could become a real power house in sports. When I think of TNT I think of reruns and making good movies longer because of too many commercials, pretty soon though they will be known for broadcasting important sporting events.

This is a good idea with or without expansion because you as a fan will be able to watch more games at once without purchasing a ticket if you have Directv or having to watch the other games on your computer using the March Madness on demand. Lets hope that the NCAA realizes how awesome this can really be.
