What are the Cardinals doing?

Mar 8th, 2010 | By Jake Doerr | Category: NFL

The 49ers, Seahawks and Rams are all thanking the football gods right now because the Cardinals team that went to the Super Bowl in 2009 and to the second round in 2010 is no longer in Arizona. The Cardinals so far have had the worse off season and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.781080928306_Cardinals_v_Jets This monstrosity of an off season started when their starting quarterback Kurt Warner retired. Then they let their starting Safety Antrel Rolle  sign with the Giants,  they traded their unhappy wideout Anquan Boldin to the Ravens, and their best linebacker Carlos Dansby bolted for the Dolphins. They still have playmakers in Larry Fitzgerald, Chris Wells and Darnell Dockett but it is starting to look like the Cardinals are going to be rebuilding for a few years. Matt Leinart is going to have to try and become a franchise quarterback because the Cardinals success will depend on the productivity of Leinart.
